Many of the children in our community are in need of quality shoes. The Shields & Shoes Project provides quality shoes to area children in a way that prevents stigma or ridicule.
Who is behind it:
The need for shoes is an issue noticed by first responders. They have been working diligently to find a viable long term solution.
Their efforts led to the creation of the Shields and Shoes Project.
Shields & Shoes is a multi-organizational partnership between Circle of Care and first responders serving our community. Together our mission is to both identify the needs of these children, to raise the funds to purchase quality shoes to provide them, and provide the shoes to area children in such a way that they do not experience teasing or ridicule.
Who does what:
The funds collected from donations will be managed through the Circle of Care. This will allow for donations to be tax-deductible and the purchase of shoes to be sales tax exempt.
First responders will be charged with dispersing the shoes in a way that will protect the children from being teased or ridiculed.
Why this project:
We strongly believe that the best way to give back to the community is to pave the way for the success of our youth. Children in our area not having decent shoes is simply unacceptable.
We invite you to partner with us by donating to this great cause.
